The generous support you have shared over the past few years has been put to good use. Five years ago we began this journey with the hope of raising enough money to provide an annual scholarship for deserving students in the Dedman School of Hospitality at Florida State University. The dream has grown, and has reached an endowment of over $100,000. This endowment annually funds ($1,000) scholarships to deserving students within this line of study.
Beyond the support to the Dedman School of Hospitality at Florida State University, the RIPITT Foundation provides financial support to several other organizations. One such group is the Brain Injury Association of Florida. This organization is dedicated to inform, educate and support families who have experienced a loss or have a loved one affected by a traumatic brain injury. We are in the process of establishing a scholarship in Trent’s name at the FSU Chapter of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity, where he was an active member of the fraternity while attending Florida State University.
Below are links to each of these organizations, so that you can better understand how your financial support and charitable donations have been used. But the RIPITT Foundation, Inc. is not stopping here. Throughout Trent’s life he was actively involved in athletics. He was a gifted athlete who participated in both soccer and football. In memory of Trent’s commitment to sports, we are looking for opportunities to foster and influence competitive fun in youth athletics. Our goal is to create opportunities for individuals to build confidence through shared experiences.
As a non-profit organization, we plan to expand our giving to a much broader base. The Board of Directors are working hard to define those organizations in need of financial support that align with Trent’s life vision.
